The Cabantao, Maligaya, Marfil, Panintingan, Caulisihan, Maputi, Masabong Ancestral Manobo Tribal Association or CAMMPACAMM is currently the sole Indigenous Peoples Organization (IPO) that is based in Rosario, Agusan del Sur.  It is one of the project partners of the DA-Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Project (MIADP) with CADT 078, approved by the Indigenous People Structure (IPS) and recognized by the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP). The IPO is chaired by Manobo tribal leader, Hawudon Mabantao II.

The Indigenous People’s Rights Act of 1997 (RA 8371) provides that IP communities have the right to develop, control, manage, and conserve natural resources within the territories and uphold the responsibilities for future generations or to benefit and share the profits from the allocation and utilization of these resources (Sec. 7, Chapter III). Particular to mining, concerned ICC/IP communities are entitled to royalty payments, the fulfillment of which is preconditioned on the compliance to the FPIC Guidelines and execution of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the mining company.

With this, CAMMPACAMM made two breakthroughs as their Ancestral Domains are endowed with mineral resources and mining operations. One, they co-own the Bernster Mining Exploration and Agro-industrial Corporation with a 25% company share (bantaykita.ph).

Two, CAMMPACAMM  has been a recipient of a goat multiplier project that includes a goat house, perimeter fence, and 22 heads of doe and buck; chicken multiplier with 4 units of the chicken house,  and fence, 480 heads of hen and rooster as well as an incubator; corn production project inclusive of corn seeds, fertilizers, corn sheller, a compact corn mill and vegetable production project through the 4Ks of DA-Caraga.  The project extends realistic interventions for sustainable development to the IP/ICCs and capacitates them to take part in the programs of the government.

With these two major achievements of the IPO in Rosario, Agusan del Sur, expectations are set higher as they will implement their proposed MIADP enterprise which is the Coconut Consolidation, Processing, and Marketing.  The project will benefit at least 1,034 coconut-farming households within the AD in a matter of 6 years.

MIADP aims to sustainably increase agricultural productivity, resiliency, and access to markets and services of organized farmer and fisherfolk groups among the indigenous cultural communities/ indigenous peoples (ICCs/IPs) in selected Ancestral Domains (ADs) and for selected commodity value chains in Mindanao.  It has four components Planning and Social Preparation, Agri-Fisheries Infrastructure, Agri-Fisheries Production and Enterprise Development, and Management and Support, Monitoring, and Evaluation.
