To evaluate the projects’ progress, achievements, and challenges, the Department of Agriculture (DA) Caraga – Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project holds its Year-end Review and Assessment in Surigao City, Surigao del Norte on January 14-16, 2025.
The activity serves as a platform for stakeholders to review progress, identify challenges, and strategize for the remainder of the year.
In his message, Regional Executive Director (RED) & Regional Project Director Arlan M. Mangelen stressed the project’s role in significantly addressing the needs of Indigenous Peoples (IPs) in the region.

“This initiative is a testament to our commitment to empower Indigenous Peoples by addressing their unique needs and fostering sustainable development in their communities,” said RED Mangelen.
Key objectives of the year-end assessment included Review of Project Progress, Identification of Challenges, Strategic Planning. Participants in the assessment include project personnel and unit heads. Through a series of presentations, workshops, and discussions, share experiences, best practices, and lessons learned.
In closing, Regional Technical Director for Operations & Deputy Project Director Rebecca R. Atega acknowledged the team’s efforts for the whole year.

“Let us build on our achievements, as we go on for the next years until we can fully empower our IP communities and hope that MIADP can grow even more.” said DPD Atega.
