The Department of Agriculture – Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (DA-MIADP) Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO IX), in collaboration with the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples Region IX (NCIP IX), successfully held its Year-End Assessment Cum Planning Workshop for Fiscal Year 2025 on January 14, 2025 at Hotel Guillermo, Pagadian City. The event gathered DA-MIADP RPCO IX personnel, led by Regional Executive Director Engr. Marcos C. Aves Sr. together with Deputy Project Director Maria Gemma S. Genaldo, and MIADP-NCIP R9 Focal Person Zena Mae P. Dumandos and MIADP-NCIP R9 Alternate Focal Person Engr. Aphli Dave Lampayan. This comprehensive workshop aimed to evaluate the project’s performance for the past year and establish strategic goals for the upcoming year.
The assessment commenced with the presentation of the FY 2024 Accomplishment Reports, highlighting significant milestones and project outcomes. Following this, the FY 2024 Catch-up Plan was discussed to address pending deliverables and ensure the fulfillment of the project’s objectives. Each Component and Unit under the DA-MIADP RPCO IX showcased their 2024 Year-End Reports, providing a detailed overview of their achievements and challenges. Components 1 to 4 presented updates on the accomplished targets, sparking constructive discussions on areas needing improvement. Participants actively collaborated to identify strategies for enhancing project implementation moving forward.
A key highlight of the workshop was the NCIP Region IX’s presentation on the selection of the next Ancestral Domain for DA-MIADP implementation, paving the way for broader project outreach and support for Indigenous Peoples in the region.
Admin and Finance Unit Head, Jose Jacinto B. Antonio concluded the workshop with an inspiring message, commending the team for their hard work and dedication. He encouraged everyone to continue striving for excellence in achieving the project’s mission of inclusive agricultural development for Indigenous Peoples in Mindanao.
The Year-End Assessment Cum Planning Workshop set a solid foundation for DA-MIADP RPCO IX and NCIP IX as they gear up to meet their FY 2025 targets, ensuring continued progress and meaningful impact across Zamboanga Peninsula ancestral domains.
