Department of Agriculture (DA) officials and members of the National Project Advisory Board of the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) and the Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIADP) convened for the 11th PRDP NPAB and 1st MIADP Advisory Board (MAB) Meeting today at the DA Central Office Conference Room in Quezon City.
The back-to-back meetings tackled pertinent matters for approval of the NPAB and MAB such as the PRDP and MIADP Work and Financial Plan for C.Y. 2024; MIADP staffing complement; reconstitution of the PRDP’s Monitoring & Evaluation Unit into the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Unit; and the creation of the Institutional Development Unit in the PRDP Scale-Up.
In his message, DA Senior Undersecretary Domingo F. Panganiban congratulated the PRDP Scale-Up and MIADP after being declared effective by the World Bank last August 23, 2023. He also urged the project staff to remain committed as both projects move toward implementation.
“Now that the PRDP Scale-Up has been declared effective, the real work begins. I hope that the same enthusiasm and passion you’ve poured into building the foundation of the PRDP Scale-Up will remain or will scale-up, too as you start to implement the project,” Usec. Panganiban said.
The meeting was attended by the officials and staff of the PRDP and MIADP, as well as members of the NPAB, composed of DA-attached agencies and bureaus, who also act as interim members of the MAB.
