Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIADP)

is a project of the Department of Agriculture (DA), funded by the World Bank, that aims to sustainably increase agricultural productivity, resiliency and access to markets and services of organized farmers and fisherfolk groups in selected ancestral domains and for selected value chains in Mindanao.

MIADP is the Department of Agriculture’s (DA) strategic response to address the persistent poverty among the indigenous peoples (IPs) of Mindanao.

Project Objective

The project development objective is to sustainably increase agricultural productivity, resiliency, and access to markets and services of organized farmers and fisherfolk groups in selected ancestral domains and for selected value chains in Mindanao.

The project employs approaches consistent with the principles embodied in the Indigenous Peoples Rights Act (IPRA). It is designed to address the basic constraints that have led to the pervasive poverty, lack of employment and food insecurity for many ICCs/IPs in the ADs of Mindanao.

Officials

The officials of the MIADP are dedicated leaders committed to advancing the development of IPs of Mindanao. Through their expertise and vision, they work to create opportunities that uplift indigenous communities across the region.
